Happy Sunday loves! :)
It has been almost a week since we’ve launched the blog and the response we’ve been getting is amazing, we can’t thank you all enough! We have put much time and thought into this blog and our brand and are blessed to finally be able to bring our vision to life to share with you all.
Our journey has not been easy at all; it is very hard to not become distracted when trying to achieve a goal. 2013 was full of distractions for us, and we would be lying if we said that we didn’t lose focus at least once along the way. Once we began to identify the toxic things in our lives and shed ourselves of the excess baggage and negativity, we began to see a clearer vision of our purpose. We’re all human and it happens to the best of us, but what is more important than what you go through in life is how you bounce back from it. Having a positive outlook on life and surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals is the key to personal growth.
Everybody needs a little push every now and again to help get them started on something they have been putting off. Whether it comes from a friend who inspires you to do better or something you came across on your own, inspiration and motivation can come at anytime from anywhere. But what about those times when you’re in a rut and nothing seems to be working out the way you’d like? How do you find it within yourself to take on something new and/or challenging?
Self-Motivation is the best thing that you could master as a young entrepreneur. Easier said than done though, WE KNOW. We all should be well aware at this day and age that life isn’t always rainbows and sunny skies and usually when it rains it pours. You must be resilient and persistent in your efforts; always give 100% in everything you do. Whether it works out or not, you can sleep well knowing that you did everything that was in your control, the rest is in God’s hands.
Timing is everything, and it is necessary to go through whatever obstacles you may face in order to become the person you need to be to achieve at your highest potential. Success does not happen over night, it happens when the opportunity meets the most PREPARED and dedicated individual. In other words “if you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready.”
Many young people underestimate the value of proper planning and simply taking the time to be introspective and THINK about what it is they want to do and how they want to do it. Self-awareness is key, and you cannot truly fulfill your life’s purpose if you don’t know who you are. Create your own identity, basing your life off what others think or choose to accept will never bring about the change that we need to see in the world. We need fearless LEADERS ready to stand up and use their voice to heal our broken generation.
It takes a strong woman to uplift not only herself, but to encourage other women as well. We, as black people, need more encouragement and positivity in our communities now more than ever. One of the issues that motivates us the most is our efforts in strengthening women and encouraging support for one another. There is no need to see others as competition when your only focus is being a better you, everyday. There is power in numbers and if we are all intelligent, strong, able-minded and bodied there is nothing that we can’t accomplish TOGETHER.
If there was one message we want you guys to take away from this Sunday’s “blessing”, it’s this: take the time to learn yourself and most importantly, LOVE YOURSELF. However you were made, it was destined for you to be that way so find your lane and take off in it! The sky is no longer the limit #NewRules #StriveForExcellence
LOVE IT! Keep it coming.
